Gimme Some Sugar Blog Hop

Welcome to our Featured Paper Blog Hop! We will be showcasing our Gimme Some Sugar Paper collection with various projects created by talented Close to my Heart Consultants. If you are visiting from Haley's blog then you are on the right track.

My project is the third layout from the Gimme Some Sugar Workshop Your Way! I love how this paper collection has worked for so many different subjects, from the sweet face of my Emily to the FUN I had with my little Eli in the kitchen!

Now hop on over to see what Kathleen has created for you.

Design Space Friday Segmented Heart

This layout with a segmented heart was shared on the Close To My Heart Facebook page and I was intrigued, could I do this in Design Space
Yes, I can! Here is the video!

The Faces of Emily

I found these great pictures of my Emily and thought how perfect would the blues of Gimme Some Sugar work with them.

Here is the one of the three layouts you can create with the Gimme Some Sugar Workshop Your Way

The photos were all landscape so I decided to be creative and use smaller photos and even one that ran over the mat. This leaves me with a little journaling space to add comments or embellishments for each photo.
I used a pink Cricut pen, that I had on hand, to journal as she once was my pink and purple girl. She is more into blue now.
Join my team in April and Let Me Show You How!!

Design Space Friday - Curved Text

Yes it is finally here, curved text! I am so excited! Here is my first project using curved text. I took an overlay from the Close To My Heart Artbooking Cricut collection and began to build.

Starting with the word Tropical which I curved in the circle photo well. After which, I welded the base from Paradise from the Close To My Heart You Are Here Cricut collection to complete the title. I added several beachy items to several of the photo wells to finish the overlay.

I see so many possibilities with curved text.

Design Space Friday Popup Frame Card

A card swap group I belong to is using the Popup Frame card technique this month. I love the idea and, of course, when I have to create more than one, I want to use my Cricut.

Here is my version of the card. I used the Make It From Your Heart volume 4 how to book pattern 17, Chelsea Gardens (using up my scraps as this retires at the end of April), March's Stamp of the Month, Birthday Time, Glacier and Sweet Leaf ink, Chelsea Gardens dots (retired), and white twine.

The inside is ready for a photo. I used the pen to draw the heart and write the sentiment.

In the video, I share that this is a true 12" piece. I place the cardstock 1/4" (mark your mat so you will be able to do this whenever you need) and use the 12" x 24" mat option in Design Space, however you can still use your 12" x 12" mat.

Popping a Stamped Background

Wednesday's My Wonderful World of Stamping features the March Stamp of the Month, Birthday Time (S1803) -- only a few more days to get this stamp set and with a $50 order it is only $5

I used the Versamat to line up the stamp image Celebrate to create a background and a ShinHan marker to pop one for the sentiment. I do a Wednesday LIVE video in my Facebook Customer Group, if you would like to join, comment below and I will send you a link.

And remember to stamp the inside! I used a sentiment from the Stamp of the Month and the stars from another stamp set! I love to have star and heart images to add to any other stamp set.
Enjoy, Shirley
