Florence Featured Paper Suite for August

The elegance of Tuscany, Florence has the feel of early Fall and I for one am ready for some cool weather. The Florence paper suite will be featured throughout August.

And the best value, Florence Workshop Your Way, comes complete with pattern paper, cardstock, Complements full of stickers and die cuts splattered with a little gold foil accent, rose gold foil tape and BEAUTIFUL sequins in jewel tons of blue, gold, rose gold, and red!!

There are videos and a cutting guide available for you to complete three layouts and a Picture My Life pocket page double layout.

With a few add ons, a stamp set, A Bunch of Love (C1647) and the coordinating thin dies (Z3251) and value pack card bases and envelopes, you may also create 8 cards (2 of 4 designs).

Here are my completed cards. I did some watercoloring using Archival Black ink (44751), Ruby (Z2170), Poppy (Z2652), Saffron (Z2651), Peacock (Z2649), Sapphire (Z2648), and Flaxon ink pads (Z2642) and the medium waterbrush (Z3226).

I love how quick and easy it was to make my August birthday cards!!

And I played a little with the journaling pen, it is so fun to add your own flair to these kit cards.

Are you ready to get your Florence Workshop Your Way!!

Calypso and the Split Panel Card

One of my Rockin' heART team members, Darlene Smyly, taught us how to create a Split Panel card at a recent class. It was so much fun!!

Here is a 4 1/4" x 11" top folding White Daisy card. Fold the card from the top in half at 5 1/2", you can score first before you fold.

Place the fold line on the 2" mark on your trimmer and cut. This will leave you with the 2" x 4 1/4" panel for the top of the split panel.

Take the leftover piece, 3 1/2" x 4 1/4", and cut 2" from the 3 1/2" side.  This will leave you with a 2" x 4 1/4" for the  bottom panel.

The remaining 1 1/2" x 4 1/4" piece may be used for the sentiment piece which will attach the top and bottom panels, which is what I did. I stamped one of the flamingos from the Tickled Pink (C1651) stamp set

I cut a Black cardstock mat for it at 4 1/2" x 1 3/4".

To dress up the card, I cut panels from Calypso (X7210B) pattern paper, my rule of thumb is to cut t…
